Zelma M. (Martin) Tavares

FALL RIVER… Zelma M. (Martin) Tavares, 89, of Fall River passed away April 21st at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Antone Tavares.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Mariano and Olivia (Borges Souza) Martin and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mrs. Tavares was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish, Fall River. She enjoyed music, singing and being with her family.
Survivors include her son: Kenneth M. Tavares and his wife Patti of Fall River, a grandson: Kenneth M. Tavares, Jr. of Pinewood, SC, her very special cousin: Julieta Furtado of Fall River, several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Anibal Martin.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 9 AM at Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Good Shepherd Parish, 1589 South Main St. Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling Hours will be Friday from 5-8 PM.
