Victor R. Costa

Victor R. Costa, 44, of Whipple St., Fall River, died Wednesday at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY. He was the beloved husband of Cidalia (Marcelino) Costa.

Born in Vilarinho Lousan, Portugal, a son of Manuel P. and Maria (Reis) Costa of Fall River; he resided in for Fall River for the past 37 years and was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Mr. Costa had worked as a cutter for Whaling Manufacturing for 22 years.

He was an avid sports fan. He coached for the Fall River Youth Soccer for many years and also was a referee for high school and college teams.

Besides his wife of 18 years and parents, he is survived by two daughters, Samantha Costa and Sabrina Costa, both of Fall River; a sister, Maria L. Silva of Fall River; and two nieces.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5 - 9 p.m.
