Silvana (Pereira) Arruda, 96, of Fall River, a retired garment worker, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Jacinta (Rocha) Pereira and the beloved wife of the late John Arruda.
She is survived by her loving son, Steven Arruda of Dade City, FL and his fiancee Linda Silva of Fall River: her grandson, John Arruda and his wife Laura, her twin granddaughters, Kate and Jane Arruda; her great-grandson, Marco Arruda; She is also survived by her three sisters, Mary Mello of Gustine, CA, Beatrice Perry of San Leandro, CA and Angelina Pacheco of Somerset; and several nieces and nephews.
Silvana always treasured the time spent with her family and friends, particularly her son, grandchildren and great-grandson. She was always quick to smile especially while enjoying her desserts and sweets.
Her funeral will take place from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St., Fall River on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Church at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Fall River. Visitation morning of funeral from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
