Sidney N. Oliveira

Sidney N. Oliveira, 35, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Fall River, died March 15, 2011 from a brain aneurysm.

Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of David C. Oliveira of Fall River and Wendy (Plant) Barraza of Las Vegas; she moved to Las Vegas in 1986 and lived there for the past 25 years. She was a graduate of Clark High School in Las Vegas, Class of 1993.

Sidney worked as an apartment manager in a condominium development for the past 12 years.

She enjoyed swimming, hiking at Mt. Charleston, cookouts at Lake Mead with her close friends. She enjoyed trying out the latest restaurants while visiting her close friend in California. She loved her two cats and spending time with her family and friends on yearly visits to Fall River.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her half brother, Cody Barraza of Las Vegas; her paternal grandmother, Frieda Oliveira of Fall River; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was the paternal granddaughter of the late Manuel A. Oliveira, Jr. and the maternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Plant. She was the niece of the late Hilda T. Munson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Sunday at 5 p.m. in the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Visitation prior to service 3 to 5 p.m.
