Shirley M. (Cabral) Rego

Shirley M. (Cabral) Rego, 84, of Fall River, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Dawn Hill Home for Rehab and Healthcare, in Bristol, RI.

She was the widow of the late William Rego.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Ferreira) Cabral.

Prior to retiring, she was self-employed as a housekeeper. She was a member of the Liberal Club and enjoyed reading, watching movies, dancing, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children: Karen Oliveira (husband George), of Fall River, Joseph Silvia (wife Evelyn), of Fall River, Shelley Gendreau (husband Todd), of East Sandwich, and Cheryl Ferreira (husband David), of Warren, RI; her brother William Cabral; her grandchildren: Jason, Holly, Tracy, Jarren, Gage, Trenton, and William; her great grandchildren: Aria and Grayson; several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday, February 11, at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home – South Main St Chapel, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Parish. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m.
