Serafina M. (Viveiros) Medeiros

FALL RIVER…Serafina M. (Viveiros) Medeiros, 82, of Fall River passed away November 14, 2017 at St. Anne's Hospital.
She was the widow of Luis De Medeiros.
Born in Mosteiros, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Luis Jose and Maria (Branco-Sousa) Viveiros.
Mrs. Medeiros was a communicant of Santo Christo Church, Fall River. She worked as an Examiner in the local garment industry for 22 years before retiring in 1996.
Survivors include her children; Rev. Jose Eduardo Medeiros of Brazil, Ilezete Cabral of Sao Miguel, Azores, Antoinette DeCourcey of Framingham and Susana Talbot of N. Scituate, RI, her sisters; Maria Helena Medeiros of Fall River and Fernanda Viveiros Cordeiro of Sao Miguel, Azores, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Manuel Sousa Viveiros and Jose Luis Sousa Viveiros.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday at 8 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5-8 PM.
