Serafin G. Medeiros

Serafin G. Medeiros, 72, of Fall River, passed away Monday at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Maria H. (Monte) Medeiros.

Born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Manuel G. and Maria (Aguiar) Medeiros, he resided in Fall River for the past 49 years.

Mr. Medeiros worked as a machine operator for Duro Textile Printers for many years.

Besides his wife of 49 years, he is survived by 2 daughters, Deborah Almeida of New Bedford and Cynthia "Cindy" Medeiros of Fall River; 3 sisters, Maria Jose Viveiros of St. Michael, Azores, Conceicao Morellos and Irene Camara both of Pawtucket, RI; 2 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel G. Medeiros, Angelo G. Medeiros and Jose G. Medeiros.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anne's Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 5 - 8 p.m.
