Sarah C. Monte

Sarah C. (Cordeiro) Monte, 90, of Boxford, MA, formerly of Swansea, MA, died Thursday at Putnam Farms at Danvers. She was the wife of the late John J. Monte.

Born in Fall River, MA; a daughter of the late Antone and Conceicao (Cabral) Cordeiro, she resided most of her life in Swansea.

Mrs. Monte had worked at Firestone.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith M. Capron (Husband Herb) of Boxford, MA; 2 sisters, Louise Hebert of Portsmouth, RI and Elsie McIver of CA; a brother, Antone Cordeiro, Jr. of Westport, MA; 2 granddaughters, Lauren Capron and Margeaux Capron, many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia Street followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation morning of funeral 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of the North Shore 75 Sylvan Street Suite B-102 Danvers, MA 01923.
