Ruth C. Costa

FALL RIVER - Ruth C. (Fredrickson) Costa, age 66, entered into eternal peace surrounded by her family on Friday, February 24th at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Alan "Scoop" Costa with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.
She was born on January 15, 1951 in Fall River, MA. She is the daughter of Doris (Whiston) Fredrickson of Fall River and the late William Fredrickson. Ruth lived in Fall River for most of her life, having spent her earlier years in Tiverton. She was formerly employed for 30 years as an accountant for Edward and Thomas Pettine.
She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, grammie and friend. Ruth is survived by her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Natasha Banoub and her husband Matthew of Swansea, MA and Victoria Dias and her husband Robert of Fall River; her foster daughter, Kelly Chouinard of Fairhaven, MA; her loving grandchildren, Alexandria Van Wormer, Marcus Banoub, Joshua Banoub, Samantha Dias, Lindsay Dias and Avery Dias; her sisters, Jane Furnas, Elisabeth Meader, Eileen Pestana and Margaret Connolly; her mother-in-law, Rose Costa; and many loving sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews and friends. She has joined her beloved sister Nancy Fredrickson in heaven.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 1st at 10:30 a.m. in the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Road, Fall River.
