Rubie E. Marshall

Rubie E. (Orr) Marshall, 79, formerly of Furey Ave., Tiverton, died Thursday at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harry Marshall.

Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late Thomas and Marion (Moreau) Orr; she resided most of her life in Tiverton, spending her youth in Westport.

Mrs. Marshall worked as a department head for 15 years in the boy's department at the former Edgar's Department Store.

She was a member of St. Madeleine Sophie Parish.

She is survived by a son, Thomas Marshall (Wife Lori) of Tiverton, RI; a brother, Don M. Orr of Louisiana; two sisters, Colleen Taber of Westport, MA and Norma Couture of Plat City, FL; 9 Grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Harry Marshall, Sharon Bianchi and Sheila Bianchi. She was the sister of the late Thomas S. Orr, Hilda Silvia and Frances Gagne.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Madeleine Sophie Church. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours Sunday 4 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to The Mended Hearts, Inc., Chapter # 191, P.O.
