Rosalina (Sousa-Mota) Botelho, 95, of Eagle Street, Fall River, died Tuesday at home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Antonio Moniz Botelho.
Born in Lomba da Loucao, Povoacao, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Joao da Mota and Julia de Sousa; she resided in Fall River for the past 38 years.
Mrs. Botelho worked as a housekeeper for several years at the former Union Hospital.
She was a member of Santo Christo Church.
She is survived by a son, Antonio Botelho of Fall River; four daughters, Maria Julia Bento, Maria Ines Mello and Maria Rosa Franco, all of Fall River and Celina Belchior of Berkley, MA; two sisters, Angelina Pacheco and Celina Faria, both of Canada; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Jose Silvino Botelho and Joao Manuel Botelho.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 5 - 9 p.m.
