Rosa De Medeiros

Rosa De Medeiros, 92, of Fall River, a homemaker, fortunate to have lived to see five generations of her family, died Tuesday at the Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of the late Manuel Sousa Galante.

Born in Fenais da Ajuda, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Angelo Jose De Medeiros and Maria Albina Barboza; she lived here since 2006 and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. She prayed the Rosary daily.

She is survived by three daughters, Maria Espirito Santo Carreiro of Canada, Laura Medeiros (Husband Jose) of Somerset, MA and Amelia Pacheco (Husband Alberto) of Fall River; 9 grandchildren; Filomena, Frank, Fatima, Jose Martin, Christina, Diane, Tania, Elsa and Michael; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was the great-great-grandmother of the late Seth Novo.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Good Shepherd Parish. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 6-8 p.m.
