Ronald A. Moniz

FALL RIVER… Ronald A. Moniz, 77, of Fall River passed away January 3, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital.

He was the husband of Elaine M. (Dias) Moniz.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Antone and Irene (Costa) Moniz and had been a lifelong resident of this city.

Mr. Moniz was employed as machine operator for Duro Finishing and Pioneer Finishing, prior to his retirement. He enjoyed playing Solitaire and other computer games as well as watching TV game shows.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his companion: Donna McGeney of Fall River; his children: Lynn Lester (husband: Vernon) of Minneola, FL and Gary Moniz of Fall River; his grandchildren: Michelle Moss (husband: Billy) and Alex Moniz; his great grandchildren: Brendyn & Makayla Moss; his step-daughter: Lori Cardoza of Fall River; his step-grandchildren: Derek, Bryant & Jorden Aguiar. He was the father of the late Steven & Keith Moniz.

Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11 AM at Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721. Calling hours will be held Monday from 9 – 11 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be private.
