Robert E. Fleming, Jr.

Robert E. "Bob" Fleming, Jr., 53, of Little Compton, RI, a union pile driver for many years, died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. He was the former husband of Gina M. (Santos) Fleming of Newport, RI.

Born in Fall River, MA, a son of Mabel L. (De Costa) Fleming of Little Compton, RI (her companion James Siravo considered a close friend by Bob); he lived most of his life in Little Compton, RI. He was a pile driver for the Carpenters and Pile Drivers Local Union 56 in Boston. He was working for Cashman Construction in New Bedford. Bob was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his daughters. He enjoyed boating and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Besides his mother and former wife, he is survived by two beautiful daughters, Kayla M. Fleming and Olivia R. Fleming, both of Newport; RI, a sister, Lisa J. Fleming of Little Compton, RI; aunts and uncles; cousins; a niece, Melissa Westphal of NY; a nephew, Gary Ferrell, Jr. of Canada; nieces and nephews. He was the longtime companion of Lorie Lane of Enfield, CT.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. in the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., Fall River. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Main Rd., Tiverton. Calling hours morning of service from 9-11 a.m. Please omit flowers. The family would respectfully prefer that contributions be made in Bob's memory to a trust created to benefit his daughters, Kayla and Olivia Fleming, Bank of Newport, Acct. # 3996, 614 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI 02878.
