Rita Franco

FALL RIVER …Rita (Medeiros) Franco, 83, of Fall River passed away December 23, 2018 at St. Anne’s Hospital.

She was the wife of Manuel C. Franco of Fall River to whom she was married to for 64 years.

She was born in Fall River a daughter of the Manuel and Estephania (Alves) Medeiros and had been a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Franco was employed by the former Beacon Garment.

She was a former communicant of St. Louis Church and now is a communicant of the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, Second Street, Fall River.

Mrs. Franco loved Broadway Plays and going to the casinos.

Survivors include her husband several nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. Her niece Natalie Medeiros. Her brothers-in-law Antone, Eugene, Ronald Franco. Her sisters-in-law Lorraine Franco and Lillian Khoury. She was the sister of the late Estephania Ferreira, Catherine Rego, and James Medeiros. She was the sister-in-law to the late Daniel and Charles Franco.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 8:30 A.M. at the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, Second Street, Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
