Rita Arruda

Rita (Carvalho) Arruda, 85, formerly of William Street, passed away Tuesday at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Manuel S. Arruda.

Born in Touisset, RI; a daughter of the late John and Virginia (Marques) Carvalho.

Mrs. Arruda was an employee for the former Shelburne Shirt retiring in 1990.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Natalie Patricio of Fall River and Rita Lacombe of Westport; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 Private arrangements are by the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St.
