Richard Cordeiro

Richard Cordeiro of Tiverton, RI passed away on Good Friday, April 15, 2022, at home after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Rebello) Cordeiro, who he married in 1956. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a truck driver for the majority of his career, and was a member of Teamsters Union #251. Richard also enjoyed wood working, camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Michael A. Cordeiro and wife Cindy Lee, Russell A. Cordeiro and partner Renee Babrant, his sister Edith Medeiros and husband Joseph, sister in-law Eileen Pavao and husband Jack.  Six grandchildren, Ryan, Candace, Erin, Kim, Lindsey and Matthew. 13 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the father of the late Richard Cordeiro and predeceased by his brothers Albert Cordeiro, Norman Cordeiro and sister Elizabeth Lopes.

His funeral will be held Thursday, April 21, gathering at 10:00 am at the Oliveira Funeral Home. South Main Street Chapel, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River, MA. Funeral Service is at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 20th from 6-9:00 pm.
