Phyllis A. (Soltys) Davenport

FALL RIVER… Phyllis A. (Soltys) Davenport, 86, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, in Fall River.

She was the widow of the late John O. Davenport.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Leon Soltys and Stephanie (Salecka) Soltys.

Prior to retiring, Phyllis worked for most of her career as a school administrator. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling in her younger years, to several European countries.

She is survived by her son David Davenport (wife Cheryl), of Tiverton; her daughter Susan Garver (husband Dwayne), of Maine; her grandchildren: Joshua, Jason (and wife Leslie) who served as her caretaker for the past two years, Jamie (husband Stuart), and Justin (wife Hanna); 5 great grandchildren.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 23rd, at 10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Parish, Rockland St., Fall River. Burial and committal prayers will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
