Pearl B. (Costa) Lima, 85, of Tiverton, passed away Tuesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late George J. Lima and the late Joseph S. Cavaco.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Manuel and Elizabeth (Perry) Costa, she resided most of her life in Tiverton and was a member of Holy Ghost Church.
Mrs. Lima worked as a sewing machine operator for the former Schneierson Manufacturing Company for 44 years.
Mrs. Lima enjoyed dancing, gardening, playing cards, traveling and playing cards with her friends. She also assisted her late cousin Manuel Rebello booking trips. She was very active in selling tickets for Blessed Sacrament Church.
She is survived by her step-daughter, Christine Torrelday (husband Joseph) of Narragansett, 2 grandsons, Ryan Torrelday and David Henry and 3 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her childhood friend, Sally Delvalle. She was the mother of the late Edward Cavaco and sister of the late Mary Louise Stansell.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 7 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 2064 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 8 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4 - 8 p.m.
