Paulina (Barreira) DeMello

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL… Paulina (Barreira) DeMello, 90, of New Port Richey, FL passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, FL.

Mrs. DeMello was born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Joaquim and Alda (Vivieiros) Barreira.

Prior to retiring, Paulina worked as a Balloon Packer at Tillotson Rubber in Fall River.

Survivors include her daughter: Alda M. DeMello of New Port Richey, FL, her sisters: Maria do Carmo Faria and Conceicao Arrenegado, both of Fall River, 2 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Antonio and Gabriel DeMello, and the sister of the late Maria Angelina Novo, Alfred Barreira, and Alda Arruda.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 8:00 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St, Fall River, MA 02724 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at St. John of God Parish, 1036 Brayton Ave, Somerset. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
