Paula Quinn, 73, passed away on July 30, 2024, in Fall River MA.
Paula was born on June 12, 1951 in Worcester MA, to the late Walter and Virginia Quinn. Paula graduated from South High School in Worcester MA.
Paula spent many years struggling with addiction but was proud to be living her sober life with dignity and honesty for over 30 years. She used this as a catalyst to help others recover, as well as doing great work with domestic abuse survivors. She worked for the SSTAR Women’s Center for many years, where she made great friendships and changed many lives. Paula’s mission in life was to help others and it brought her a great deal of fulfillment to do so. Paula spoke very often and fondly of her closest friends, Nancy Isom, Kimberly Oliveira and Laura Hubbard. They were family to her and she loved each of them dearly. Paula loved to garden and was most proud of her sunflowers. Her favorite pastime was going to the beach and enjoying the outdoors. She loved spending time with her sweet pup Ash who took his responsibility of protecting her very seriously through her illness.
She is survived by her sister Patricia McNally, brother Michael Quinn and wife Diana, brother John Quinn and wife Emily, brother Stephen Quinn, her niece Kimberly Minton and husband Tiyika, nephew Christopher McNally and wife Sandra and several great nieces and nephews; Myra, Mark Jr., Nathan, Skylar, Arilyn, Payton, Amy, Daniel, Ryan, Katrina, Justine, Roger and Courtney.
Paula has left us all with beautiful memories and a legacy of acceptance, strength and resiliency. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family, but she has been called home to be with the Lord. At Paula’s request, there will be no memorial services.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in Paula’s memory.
And to quote the Raven…nevermore.
