Paul J. Thompson

FALL RIVER... Paul J. Thompson, 50, of Fall River passed away February 4, 2021 at St. Anne’s Hospital, in Fall River.

Born in Fall River, he was a son of Carmelia L. (Machado) and the late Harold Thompson, and had been a life-long resident of the city.

Mr. Thompson was employed as a Safety Officer at the Newport Navy Base. He also had worked prior as the VP of Operations at Uno Foods and as a Supervisor at Gold Medal Bakery. He was a constable, 3rd and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, black belt in Karate, and a lifelong Raiders fan. Paul enjoyed coaching baseball and football, playing tricks on his family, getting his weekly haircuts, and, most of all, spending time with his children. His best friends were his dogs Apollo, Bella, Mylo.

Along with his mother, survivors include his fiancé: Jenny Constant, of Cumberland, RI; his children: Corey Thompson, of Fall River, and Caitlyn Bacon-Thompson, of Warwick, RI; his stepchildren: JP and Alexis Parenteau; his siblings: Vivian M. Levesque, of Dartmouth, and Peter P. (wife: Debbie) and Robert J. (wife: Kim) Thompson, both of Fall River; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 8 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. Fall River, MA 02724 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Good Shepherd Parish, South Main St. Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 – 8 PM.
