Paul M. Oliveira

SOMERSET... Paul M. Oliveira, 66, of Somerset passed away Friday, March 12, 2021, after a long battle with health issues.

Paul was born in Fall River, son of Alice (Motta) Oliveira and the late Joseph P. Oliveira.

Paul earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and went on to work as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the State of Massachusetts. He spent many years of his life working with children and donating his time to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fall River. Paul loved making a positive impact in the lives of young people.

He was a faithful communicant of St. Thomas More Parish, an avid Red Sox fan, and was known for his sense of humor.

Along with his mother, Paul is survived by his son Robert Oliveira, of Dorchester; son Matthew Oliveira and his wife Kristin, of Somerset; brother Wayne Oliveira of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his granddaughter Alaura Oliveira. Paul was the brother of the late Robert Oliveira.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 9:00 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St, Fall River, MA 02724 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Thomas More Parish, 386 Luther Ave, Somerset. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
