Patricia Y. Pirog

Patricia Y. "Lovie" (Burke) Pirog, 86, of Southpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 100 Amity St., died Friday at the center. She was the wife of the late Frank P. Pirog.

Born in Trinidad, West Indies, she was a daughter of the late Albert Gomez Burke and Mary V. (O'Connor) Burke; she lived in this city for many years.

A textile inspector for many years, Mrs. Pirog retired from the former Arkwright Finishing. She previously worked at the former Berkshire Hathaway.

She is survived by a brother, David Gomez Burke of Trinidad, West Indies; three sisters, Molly Bailey of Orlando, FL, Katie Marko of Hollywood, FL and Helena Schroder of Carriere, MS; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marjorie Sabga, Claire Vanwinkle, Joy Heidin and George Gomez Burke.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Cathedral. Cremation to follow. Visitation morning of funeral from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.
