Olivia Cavaco

Olivia (Moniz) Cavaco, 83, of Fall River, died Wednesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of David S. Cavaco.

Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Farias) Moniz; she was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Cavaco had worked as a machine operator for the former Louis Hand and Aberdeen Manufacturing, retiring in 1994.

Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Carolyn T. Paskowski (Husband John) of Somerset, MA; Julia Kingston of Fall River, MA and a son, John C. Cavaco (Wife Lynn) of Somerset, MA; 2 sisters, Beatrice Hosburg of Fall River, MA and Mary Jo Costa of Swansea, MA; a brother, Antone Moniz of Westport, MA; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late David Cavaco, Thomas Cavaco and George Cavaco and sister of the late John Moniz, Manuel Moniz and Mary Souza.

Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 2064 South Main St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Cathedral. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4 - 7 p.m.
