FALL RIVER - Olga (Rebello) Correia, 73, of Bay St., Fall River, died Friday, January 20th at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of Edward Correia, Jr.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Maria de Jesus (Pinto) Rebello; she lived most of her life in Fall River. Mrs. Correia worked as a machine operator in the local garment industry.
She was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Michael G. Correia of Fall River; a step-daughter, Tracy Colavecchio; five sisters, Maria dos Anjos Tavares of Fall River, Izaura DeMelo of Fall River, Mariana DaCunha of Fall River, Marie Mirra of Fall River and Sophie Batista of Tiverton, RI; four brothers, Manuel Rebello of Tiverton, Antone Rebello of Fall River, Deodato Rebello and Louis Rebello, both of Swansea, MA; seven grandchildren, Amanda Berry, Destiny Correia, Alexus Correia, Dakota Correia, Tony, Crystal and Crystal; a great-granddaughter, Audrey; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Theresa (Rebello) Hecox and Keith A. Correia.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, January 25th at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Judson St., Tiverton. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours Tuesday 6-8 p.m.
