Odete M. Franco

ALL RIVER... Odete M. (Vieira) Franco, 76, of Fall River passed away November 25, 2018 at Catholic Memorial Home.

She was the widow of Luis J. Franco.

Born in Ponta Garca, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose And Maria (Enos) Vieira.

Mrs. Franco was a communicant of Santo Christo Church, Fall River and had worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for many years at Robin Rugs in Bristol. She enjoyed cooking, watching Portuguese soap operas, going to church and above all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children: Carlos A. Franco of Swansea, Nuno Franco of Worcester and Grace (Franco) Walason of Riverside, RI; her daughter-in-law: Darcy (Willette) Franco of Swansea; her siblings: Jose Vieira, Armando Vieira and Joao Vieira, all of Fall River and Antone Carlos Vieira of Brazil; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Dinarte Franco, Mario Franco, Antonio Franco and Luis Franco and was the sister of the late Enos Vieira.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 7:30 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m. at Santo Christo Church, Columbia Street.Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
