FALL RIVER… Norbina (Pacheco DoMonte) DaSilva, 78, of Fall River passed away September 28, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of Jose Alberto DaSilva of Fall River.
She was born in Porto Formoso, St. Michael, Azores a daughter of the late Jose and Alexandrina (Pacheco) DoMonte and has lived in Fall River for the past 48 years.
She was a communicant of Santo Christo Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, making deserts and baking her award winning Sweet Bread.
She was employed as a Floor Girl in the local Textile Industry for many years.
Survivors include 2 sons: Joe DaSilva and Paul DaSliva both of Fall River, 4 daughters: Grace Medeiros and her husband Arsenio (Sam) of Fall River, Mary Tavares and her husband Joseph of Swansea, Teresa Gomes of Fall River, and Sandra DaSilva and her husband Joe of Fall River, 2 sisters: Maria Rosario Mota of Porto Formoso and Elvira Monte of Fall River, 3 grandchildren: Kristina and her husband Nathan, Tiffany and her husband Jay, and Joseph, 2 great grandsons: Camren and Noah, many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Manuel, Jose, Nicolau, and Sebastiao DoMonte.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 8 A.M. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. at Santo Christo Church, Columbia Street, Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Monday 5 - 9 P.M.
