Natalie Maria (Correira) Ferreira

FALL RIVER… Natalie Maria (Correira) Ferreira, 94, of Fall River, passed away Thursday, August 31st, 2023, at St. Anne’s Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose Rego Correira and Maria Conceicao Camara.

Prior to retiring, Natalie was employed by the former Shelburne Shirt Company for 32 years and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a faithful parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish and the former Our Lady of the Angels Parish, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking, singing, and, most of all, spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters: Liduina Cabral (husband Luis), of Fall River, and Mary Jo Rocha (husband Antonio), of Canada; her sister Lourdes Moniz; her grandchildren: Melissa Gata, Kelly Cabral, Stefanie Catris, and Kimberly Rasicot; her great grandchildren: Angelica Gata, Miguel Gata, Raelynn Pavao, Skyler Catris, Avery Rasicot, Lennox Pavao, and Sadie Rasicot; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Luis Correira, Manuel Rego, Guilhermina Rocha, Eduarda Lopes, and Liduina Correira.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 9:00 - 10:30 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home – South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St. Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Good Shepherd Parish, South Main St., Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
