Mauricio D. Machado

WESTPORT… Mauricio D. Machado, 87, of Westport passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at St. Anne’s Hospital, in Fall River.

He was the loving husband of Claire Machado, to whom he had been married for 67 years.

Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Antonio da Luz and Maria Natalia (da Luz) Machado.

Prior to retiring, Mauricio worked for many years as a Supervisor at Sterling Pile Fabrics in Fall River, and then as the Owner of Ace Coffee & Supplies. He was also a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport.

Along with his wife, survivors include his daughters: Paula Cambra and Cheryl Crofton, both of Dartmouth, and Lisa Ellis of Westport, his sister: Carmelia Thompson, of Fall River, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alcidio Machado.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. Fall River, MA 02724. Calling hours will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 – 11:00, prior to the service.
