Mary Laura DaPonte

Mary Laura (Vieira) DaPonte, 94, of Fall River, died Monday at the Fall River Jewish Home. She was the wife of the late Pedro DaPonte.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria A. (Ramundo) Vieira; she lived most of her life in Fall River. She was employed as a hand sewer at the former Settlow Mfg., later Bradley-Scott Mfg., having previously been employed as a weaver at the former Bourne Mill.

She is survived by three sisters, Marie "Rose" Moniz of Fall River, Tina Medeiros and Alice Downing, both of Swansea; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St. Visitation morning of service 9-10 a.m. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
