Mary H. (Quackenboss) Correa, 83, of Tiverton, RI, a retired floor lady, died Thursday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Correa. She was born in Providence, RI, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Quackenboss; she lived most of her life in Tiverton and was a devoted longtime parishioner of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton.
Mrs. Correa retired from the former Floral Fashion of Tiverton. She previously was employed by the former Lamport Inc. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, but most especially, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a beloved daughter, Mary (Correa) Blanchette of Tiverton; a beloved granddaughter, Tracy M. (Blanchette) Bishop (Husband Matthew); two beloved great-grandchildren, Connor D. Bishop and Alexander J. Bishop. She was the mother-in-law of the late David L. Blanchette; grandmother of the late John David Blanchette; and sister of the late Wesley Hope, Charles Hope and Hilda Gotto.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Forever Paws Animal Hospital, 300 Lynwood St., Fall River, MA 02721.
