Mary J. Coite

Mary J. (Soares) Coite, 105, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at her home in Tiverton. She was the wife of the late Francisco Coite. Born in Fall River, MA, she was one of seven children born to the late Manuel and Theresa (Ferreira) Soares.
Mrs. Coite was a seamstress for Anderson-Little for 45 years, retiring in 1972. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and knitting.
She was the beloved mother of Dorothy A. Viveiros and her husband John of Tiverton and the late Elsie Fish, George Coite and Thomas Medeiros. Loving grandmother of Jeffrey Viveiros, Susan Telles, Cheryl Davenport, Lisa Lamothe, Richard Coite, Frank Coite, Alice Evans, James Mangum, Deborah Spak and the late Edward Fish, Jr., Gregory Fish and Michael Faria. Cherished great grandmother of twenty and great great grandmother of sixteen.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 8:30-9:30 am in Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Ghost Church, Judson Street, Tiverton. Burial will follow in Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
