Mary M. Araujo

Mary M. (Moniz) Araujo, 97, of Southpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, 100 Amity St., Fall River, formerly of Vale St., died Wednesday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late James P. Araujo.

Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Adelaide (Carreiro) Moniz, she was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Araujo was a homemaker.

She is survived by 3 grandchildren, Mary Araujo, Allyson Araujo and Adam Paul Araujo, a step-granddaughter, Heather LePage, 3 great grandchildren and a step-great-grandson. She also leaves her God son, Gilbert Medeiros (Wife Ann Marie) of Assonet, MA. She was the mother of the late Paul James Araujo and sister of the late Gilbert Moniz and Beatrice Moniz.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia Street followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:45 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5 - 7 p.m.
