Marion (Lopes) Costa

WESTPORT... Marion (Lopes) Costa, 98, of Westport passed away May 5, 2020 at the Fall River Jewish Home.

She was the loving wife of the late Edward Costa, Sr.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Costa) Lopes.

Mrs. Costa had worked for 18 years at the former Louis Hand in Fall River prior to her retirement and before that had worked for 24 years at the former Avon Curtain. She was a member of the Tiverton Senior Citizens Center and the Westport Senior Center where she enjoyed Aerobics. She loved sewing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Freitas (spouse: Bradley) of Westport; her son, Edward Costa, Jr. of Fall River; her grandchildren: Matthew Costa, Loreal Costa, Meghan McAfee (spouse: Jay) and Nathan Freitas (spouse: Tamara); her great grandchildren: Jordan, Luke and Patrick; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Linda Miranda, Mary Furtado, Manuel, Joseph and Antony Lopes.
