Marie Phoebe Ferreira

Marie Phoebe (Lewis) Ferreira, 86, of 57 Bates St., Fall River, died Friday at the Fall River Jewish Home. Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Louise (Silva) Lewis; she was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Ferreira retired from the former Rondo Knit Sportswear in 1988. She later was a foster grandmother for 20 years at the Women's Organization of Resources and Development Child Care Center in Fall River.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce T. Ferreira of Somerset, MA; a niece, Collette Beaupre; and several more nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Michael J. Ferreira and the sister of the late Alfred Lewis, Theresa Cordeiro, Emily Ferreira and Isabel Pires.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday at 10 a.m. in the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
