Marie Theresa Carreiro

Marie Theresa (Correia) Carreiro, 94, of Kearns Ave., Tiverton, a retired presser, died Tuesday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Antonio "Tony" Carreiro.

Born in Portsmouth, RI, she was a daughter of the late August and Mary R. Correia; she lived in Tiverton for most of her life and was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church. She was a member of the Melody Seniors Club in Fall River. Mrs. Carreiro retired in 1982 after 12 years of employment at the former Merit Dress Co., having previously worked for 35 years at the former Royal Garment Co.

She leaves several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late August Correia and Joseph Correia.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery. Calling hours prior to mass from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
