Mariana J. (Raposo-deJesus) Cabeceiras, 100, of Ridge St., Fall River, died Wednesday at home. She was the wife of the late Antonio Viveiros Cabeceiras.
Born in Santa Barbara das Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao and Rosa de Jesus Raposo; she lived in Fall River for the past 43 years and was a member of Santo Christo Church. Mrs. Cabeceiras worked as a turner for several years at Santoro Mfg.
She is survived by three daughters, Maria Conceicao Goncalves of Swansea, MA, Maria Lurdes Ferreira of Fall River and Maria Odilia Vasconcellos of Assonet, MA; four sons, Jose V. Viveiros of E. Providence, RI, Antonio R. Cabeceiras of Assonet, MA, Gilberto Viveiros of Winnipeg, Canada and Agosto Cabeceiras of No. Dartmouth, MA; two sisters, Salome Fonseca of Fall River and Odilia Raposo Medeiros of St. Michael, Azores; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Christopher Cabeceiras and Agusta Cabeceiras and the sister of the late Jose, Francisco, Manuel, Tobias, Dimas Raposo and Maria Raposo Oliveira.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5 - 9 p.m.
