Maria C. Rebello

Maria C. (Vieira) Rebello, 81, of Carver Street, Fall River, died Friday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jose B. Rebello.

Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores; a daughter of the late Jacinto Vieira Estrela and Maria Elpidia Moniz, she resided in Fall River for the past 43 years.

Mrs. Rebello was a homemaker and a member of Santo Christo Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and embroidery.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Mary Fatima Ledo, Isaura Correia, Gloria Rebello all of Fall River and Evelina Rebello of St. Michael, Azores; 5 sons; Jose Rebello, Paul Rebello, Michael Rebello, Francisco Rebello and Steven Rebello all of Fall River; a sister, Maria dos Anjos Sousa of the St. Michael, Azores; 3 brothers, Manuel Sebastiao of St. Michael, Azores; Jaime Sebastiao of Canada and Adelino Vieira of Fall River; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Angelina Couto and sister of the late Maria Jose da Estrela and Maria Etelvina Palrao.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME 215 Columbia St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 6 - 9 p.m.
