Maria Pacheco (Elizardo) Carvalho

FALL RIVER… Maria Pacheco (Elizardo) Carvalho, 84, of Fall River passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at Fall River HealthCare Senior Living.

She was the loving wife of the late Angelo S. Carvalho.

Born in Furnas, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose Pacheco Elizardo and Maria Ceu (Resendes) Elizardo.

Mrs. Carvalho was a communicant of Santo Christo Parish and had worked as a sewing machine operator, for various mills in Fall River, prior to retiring. She also enjoyed knitting and embroidering.

Survivors include her son: Nelson (wife Rosa) Carvalho of Fall River; her sister-in-law: Natalia Elizardo of Fall River; her grandchildren: Brian and Cristal; her great-grandchildren: Stella and Bettie; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eugenia Santos, Maria Luz Elizardo, and Antonio Elizardo.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 9:00 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Santo Christo Parish, Columbia St. Fall River, MA. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
