Maria J. (Raposo) Neves

Fall River… Maria J. (Raposo) Neves, 72, of Fall River passed away July 5, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Jose J. Neves, to whom she had been married since 1971.

Born in Sao Miguel, Acores, she was a daughter of the late Jacinto and Carolina (Silva) Raposo.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. Neves had been employed as a seamstress at the former Woodland Manufacturing and the former Aberdeen Manufacturing.

Along with her husband, survivors include her son Rui Neves, and her daughter Ana Richard, both of Fall River, her sister Deolinda Pimental, of Lakeville, and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Sandra Neves and the sister of the late Fatima Barbosa and Cidalia Botelho.

Calling hours will be held Friday, July 9, 2021, from 10 AM to 11 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River
