Maria de Lourdes Morais

Maria de Lourdes (Agostinho) Morais, 92, of 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of William Street, passed away Friday at the Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of the late Joao Custodio and the late Manuel T. Morais.

Born in Agua de Pau, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Jacintho Pacheco and Amelia (Oliveira) Agostinho, she resided in Fall River for the past 46 years.

Mrs. Morais had worked as a machine operator for the former Anderson Little Company for many years, retiring in 1982.

She was a member of Santo Christo Church.

She is survived by a son, Arthur P. Custodio (Wife Cremilde) of North Dartmouth, MA; 3 grandsons, Elvis Custodio, Hardy Custodio and John Custodio; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maria Lopes, Rev. Arthur Pacheco Agostinho, Carlos Pacheco Agostinho and Angelina Pacheco Vieira.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5 - 8 p.m.
