Maria (Pacheco) Lazaro

FALL RIVER… Maria (Pacheco) Lazaro, 71, of Fall River passed away October 8, 2021 at St. Anne’s Hospital, in Fall River.

She was the loving wife of Marcelino C. Lazaro.

Born in Lomba do Loucao, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao Pacheco Torres and Odilia Brites Pacheco.

Mrs. Lazaro had worked for many years as a Trimmer at Lexcraft and Fall River Shirt Company. She was a communicant of Santo Christo Parish.

Along with her husband, survivors include her son Michael Lazaro, of Fall River; her sisters Maria Aguiar, of Fall River, and Laura Medeiros, of Somerset; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 8 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Santo Christo Parish, Columbia St. Fall River. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, from 5 – 7 PM.
