Maria Isabel Oliveira

Maria Isabel (Pedro) Oliveira, 88, of William St., Fall River, passed away Wednesday at home. She was the wife of the late Joao "Tio Joao do Chaves" Oliveira.

Born in St. Antonio Alem Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Pedro and Silvana Matias Aguiar; she lived in this city since 1966. Mrs. Oliveira was a homemaker and a member of Santo Christo Church and its Irmandade do Rozirio.

She is survived by two daughters, Maria Fatima Viveiros and Teresa Faria both of Fall River; two sons, Antonio P. Oliveira and George Oliveira both of Fall River; a sister, Madalena Pedro of St. Michael, Azores; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late John P. Oliveira, Maria Isabele Oliveira, Jose Maria Oliveira and Joao Oliveira, Jr., and sister of the late Maria dos Santos, Antonio Pedro, Manuel Pedro, Jose Pedro and Gilberta Medeiros.

Her funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 8:30 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 6 - 8 p.m.
