Maria G. (Sousa) Cabral

FALL RIVER…Maria G. (Sousa) Cabral, 92, of Fall River passed away November 22, 2019 at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center.

She was the widow of Pedro Cabral.

Born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Napoleau Pimental and Maria Santo Christo Pereira.

Mrs. Cabral was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish, Fall River and had worked for many years as a Machine Operator or the former Louis Hand Inc. She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener but truly loved having her time consumed with family above anything else.

Survivors include her daughters: Maria Castro (husband: Leonel) of Fall River and Lucy Nunes (husband: John) of Swansea; her son: Pedro Cabral Jr (wife: Sandra) of Dighton; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maria Pimental, Olivia DaSilva and Napoleau Pimental.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 8:15 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. Fall River, MA 02724 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Stafford Rd. Fall River. Entombment will be in the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Monday from 6 – 8 PM.
