Maria Odilia Ferraz

Maria Odilia (Medeiros) Ferraz, 88, of Fall River, died Wednesday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Virginio Ferraz.

Born in Agua de Pau, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Antonio da Estrela and Filomena Cabral, she came to this country in 1969.

Mrs. Ferraz was a homemaker and a member of the Espirito Santo Church. She attended Riverview Adult Day Care.

She is survived by a son, Jose P. Ferraz of Somerset, MA; five daughters, Maria A. Tavares, Helena Sousa, Maria A. Roia, Anna B. Sousa and Clara M. Vieira, all of Fall River; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Virginio M. Ferraz, Jr.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4 - 8 p.m.
