Maria E. Pavao

Maria E. (Benevides) Pavao, 98, of Mohawk Dr., Fall River, formerly of Columbia St., died Friday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel Pavao.
Born in Feteiras do Sul, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao and Maria dos Anjos (Silva) Benevides; she emigrated to this country in 1966 and was a member of Santo Christo Church. Mrs. Pavao worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Darwood Mfg.
She is survived by a daughter, Juvenalia M. Rego of Fall River, a son, Joseph Pavao (wife Antonia) of Attleboro, MA; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Idalino Pavao and mother-in-law of the late Antonio Rego.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 6-8 p.m.
