Maria da Conceicao Ferreira

Maria da Conceicao (Cabral) Ferreira, 81, of Fall River, died Saturday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jose C. Ferreira.

Born in Feteiras do Sul, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Cabral and Georgiana Jesus Craveiro; she resided in Fall River for the past 52 years and was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Mrs. Ferreira was employed as a machine operator for over 26 years, retiring from the former Samesta Mfg., having previously worked for the former Shelburne Shirt Mfg.

She is survived by a son, Jose C. Ferreira, Jr. of Fall River; a sister, Feliciana Benjamin of Fall River; three brothers, Manuel Cabral and Jose Cabral, both of Fall River and Joao Cabral of St. Michael, Azores; 5 grandchildren, Jake, Jackie, Brian, Jill and Jessica; 7 great-grandchildren, Madison, Trinity, Tabitha, Alex, Sabrina, Briana and Jayden; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Christiano "Chris" Ferreira and the sister of the late Irene Rezendes.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6 - 9 p.m.
