Maria L. Crancha

FALL RIVER – Maria L. (Roias) Crancha, 79, of Fall River, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leonel C. Crancha.
Born in Ponta Garca, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Pedro Roias and Maria (Rodrigues) Roias; she emigrated to this country in 1977. She worked as an examiner and inspector for several years at the former Bristol Knitting.
She is survived by three daughters, Helena M. Galego of Fall River, Leonor C. Carreiro of Fall River and Teresa J. Crancha of Fall River; four sons , Antonio E. Crancha, Joao E Crancha, Leonel R Crancha, and Peter Crancha, all of Fall River; three sisters, Conceicao Pestana of St. Michael, Azores, Ines Sampaio of St. Michael, Azores and Maria L. Mendonca of Canada; four brothers, Manuel Roias of Canada, Pedro Roias of Fall River, Jose Roias of Fall River and Joao Roias of Fall River; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Antonio Roias..
Her Funeral will be held Friday, May 11th at 9 a.m. from Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Cathedral, Spring St., Fall River.
