Maria I. Da Costa

Maria I. (Cabral) Da Costa, 70, of 1748 Highland Ave., died Wednesday. She was the wife of the late Durval C. Da Costa.

Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Lourdes (Alves) Cabral Mattos, she emigrated to this country in 1975 was a member of Santo Christo Church. Mrs. Da Costa worked as a machine operator for several years at the former Anderson Little.

She is survived by a daughter, Fatima Melo of Fall River; three sons, Fernando Da Costa of Fall River, Paul Da Costa and Arthur Da Costa, both of St, Michael, Azores; a sister, Aldarzinda Pacheco of Canada; 7 grandchildren; and two nephews.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 7-9 p.m.
